Our programs

To increase the number of marginalised women in their diversity taking up leadership opportunities in politics and governance structures and processes in Zimbabwe, WDN will be launching Women’s leadership Schools and Coaching clinics from  April  – August 2022 .

The Women’s Leadership Schools will build the individual capacity of marginalised women to participate and achieve leadership positions in social movements, elected office, civil society organizations, political parties, or other entities to accelerate and strengthen marginalised women’s rights organisations and activists for sustainable mobilisation and amplification of women’s voices towards increased participation in leadership and political processes in Zimbabwe.

The program intervention targets 80 aspiring women leaders per Women’s Leadership School focusing on LGBTIQ, women with disabilities, young women between the age of 18 to 35  and women in the arts sector. A total of 80 women will be trained and provided with follow up support to apply skills and knowledge gained from women’s leadership school.

WDN-ZW believes that if marginalised women  are trained in leadership skills, provided with information, platforms and support to participate in politics and leadership processes in Zimbabwe, this will significantly motivate and contribute to  increased representation and participation of women in leadership positions in social movements, elected office, civil society organizations, political parties, or other entities

WDN- ZW is committed to providing platforms to support trained women’s leadership development through providing ongoing leadership nurturing and solidarity support.
